FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC

FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC (FCW) invests in helping local Fulani farmers produce high-quantity and quality milk via the Dairy Development Program (DDP). FC WAMCO is enabling local dairy farmers to run their businesses optimally and raise the quality and quantity of their dairy production. FC WAMCO is expanding local sourcing of fresh milk, progressively reducing its dependence on imported milk powder. Fulani producers now have bank accounts and receive payments electronically. FC WAMCO has built four collection centers that receive 11,000 liters of milk per day (18,000 liters in peak season).

At the moment, mDairy (Tech4Ag) through the Dairy Development Programme of FC WAMCO is working and collaborating with nomadic dairy farmers settled in five communities in Oyo State. Also, mDairy will be expanding to states like Niger, Osun, Ogun and Kwara where FC WAMCO sources local raw milk from farmers.
